An animation doesn’t play
- Check that the element has the
aglclass and an animation class. In the browser, inspect the element to see its classes. - Animations don’t play in the block editor. Use Preview animation, or view the page on the front end.
- An animation plays once by default. Reload the page, or turn on Repeat.
Optimization plugins
AnimateGL keeps working when an optimization plugin such as WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache or Autoptimize moves, renames or combines its script. If the WebGL part of AnimateGL can’t load, elements with a WebGL animation are shown without the effect. After you change optimization settings, clear the plugin’s cache and check a page with a WebGL animation.
Reduced motion
When a visitor turns on reduced motion in their system settings, AnimateGL shows the content without animating it. Hover and scroll effects are off too. To test animations, turn reduced motion off on your own device.
WebGL limits
WebGL animations draw the element as an image on a canvas. They work best on simple elements like headings, buttons and images. For complex elements like whole sections, use a CSS animation.
If a WebGL animation can’t run in a browser, the element is shown without it. AnimateGL Pro needs a browser that supports BigInt. In older browsers, such as Safari before 14, Pro is off and the free features run.
Content without JavaScript
AnimateGL hides an element only while its animation waits to play. Without JavaScript, or if the script can’t load, the content is shown.
System info
The Help tab of the AnimateGL page has a System info box with your plugin, WordPress, PHP, theme and page builder versions. Click Copy system info and paste it into your support request.

Questions
Pro features are off on my site. Why?
The Home tab of the AnimateGL page and a notice in the admin say why, for example that there is no active license or that the license was confirmed for another domain. See Licensing.
Can I use the free plugin and Pro together?
No. When AnimateGL Pro is active, it deactivates the free plugin. Pro includes all its features.
Do I still need the Entrance Pack and Fade Pack?
Not with AnimateGL Pro. It includes both packs, so you can deactivate and delete them.
